Tuner Tech: Installing a Roush Boost-A-Pump
When We’ll walk you through a recent install that we performed. This was done on a 2015 Mustang, but 11-14 is identical. First, we’ll remove the rear seat bottom. This is easily done by pressing the 2 tabs under the middle of each seat as shown.
Next, Ford changed the connector guides slightly, so we will need to modify them to fit. This can be done with a flat edge razor. We can start with the FPDM.
Cut the top guide only.
This is what it will look like after.
Next we will modify the T-Connector from the kit.
This is one guide modified. Below is both Modified.
Next we will put the mounting Velcro on the Fuel Pump Booster.
If you remove the sound deadener from the trim panel, this create a good clean mounting area. For a flat and secure mount, attach the Velcro to the trim panel. You’ll need an extra nut to fit the mounting stud on the FPDM. This will be used for the ground.
This is what it will look like when mounted and tucked away. Now you can reinstall the seat. Lastly, you’ll need to replace fuse 49 with a 40amp fuse.
That’s it, you’ve completed the install!
